About this lionfish coloring page

A lionfish swimming, seen from the side, with a fan of long striped fin rays spread beside its body and a row of tall striped spines along its back. Bold bands run down its body from head to tail.

A real lionfish is banded in red or brown and white, on its body and on every ray and spine. Alternate the two colors stripe by stripe, and keep each ray’s stripes in step with its neighbours.

Alive, it glides slowly over the reef with its fins folded, then stops to spread them wide and raise its spines. Once you finish, set it free and it will live in the coral reef with drawings colored by others.
